MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. He also performed in a duet with TINI for her viral streaming track Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are also musicians. In his interviews, he said the importance of music as a requirement. While a boy, he studied the guitar and saxophone. Despite initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban music teacher could change his direction in life.
